In K-drama casting news, Jung So-min eyed for romcom, Ahn Jae-hong may join Signal 2
In our first round-up of Korean drama casting news in 2025, we have the latest updates on the sequel to of one of the most acclaimed series of all time; on a drama that reimagines a popular Korean film; and some brand new romcoms and thrillers for us to get excited about in the near future.
1. Would You Marry Me
Reports suggest that Jung So-min (Alchemy of Souls) and Choi Woo-shik (Parasite) are mulling over offers to appear in the romantic comedy Would You Marry Me for broadcaster SBS.
Although details of the project are currently a little thin, the series will tell the story of a fake married couple and their life as newlyweds.
Jung recently shared the screen with Jung Hae-in in the tvN romantic comedy Love Next Door. Her recent roles include the comedy film Love Reset and drama series Monthly Magazine Home.
Last seen in the Netflix series A Killer Paradox and the big-screen sci-fi melodrama Wonderland, Choi will next be seen in the film-themed romantic drama Melo Movie alongside Park Bo-young, as well as the Disney+ fantasy series The Waking.
Would You Marry Me is being written by Lee Ha-na, who is known for Rookie Cops and The Time We Were Not in Love, and is expected to be on air before the end of the year.

LTNS actor Ahn Jae-hong is being courted to appear in the hotly anticipated second season of the timeslip procedural drama Signal.
